LITE-ON Technology (2301-tw) today reported its April consolidated revenue of NT$13.75 billion, up 9% M-o-M and 2% Y-o-Y, hitting a record monthly revenue in 2020, attributable to the increasing demand from its core business. Cumulative sales for January and April totaled NT$46.33 billion.
Opto-electronics business segment contributed a 17% share of total sales, of which, LED components posted a growth of over 20% Y-o-Y supported by strong demand from 5G and AIoT applications, as well as UV LED applied to medical, disinfection, water and air purification .
Information Technologies business accounted for 71% of sales, of which, delivery growth from high-end server and networking power management systems for cloud computing, Notebook PC adapters and server enclosures, as well as ongoing market share gains in HIS (Human Input Solutions - PC Keyboards and Peripherals) drove Information Technologies a growth of approximately 10% Y-o-Y in April. Meanwhile, the Storage segment accounted for 9% of total revenue.
